I'm from New York and it's hard to find a good pizza spot in Virginia but this place is really good
My daughters and I stopped in for lunch and I'm so happy we did! First, our server was great! her name is Cassidy she went over everything about the mandatory water boil order for the food prep and was helpful with ordering and very attentive. Our food was also great! When Im back in town Ill be happy to come back in.
Mellow Mushroom is probably my favorite pizza place! I have not found any other place where I've liked the crust as mush as MM and just really enjoy the overall pizza. The service was great at the Short Pump location. It'll definitely continue being our go-to.
I ordered a medium Streakhouse pizza ($24) and it had steak, mushroom ,onions, peppers, and garlic aioli drizzle. It was made in about 15 minutes and was quite large(about the size of a large takeout pizza). The steak was quite mediocre. I liked the mushrooms and garlic aioli drizzle. Staff and service were ok. For a chain pizza restaurant it wasn't that bad, I've had better pizza here but that could've been the pizza I selected. Overall you'll get an above average pizza. Food(50%): 6.2 Staff/service(25%): 6.0 Value(25%): 6.0 Overall: 6.1/10
It was my first time trying a Mellow Mushroom. I opted for the small Holy Shiitake and added chicken. The pizza didn't take too long to come out. A man dropped it off and walked away without bringing me a plate, which was a bit odd. The crust was crispy and the pizza was tasty, but I was a bit disappointed by the small amount of both mushrooms and chicken on my pizza. Sarah, my waitress, was fabulous!
While in the Short Pump area, my wife and I decided to have an early dinner before making the 45 minute drive home. First time visiting MM in Richmond, and decided to order and extra pizza, and take leftovers home to freeze for another dinner later. We ordered the House pizza, and the Pacific Rim. I would say the House was a little better, but both are honestly very good. A bit expensive, but in the end we did get two meals out of it. Would definitely consider it again on a future trip to Short Pump.
We went to Mellow Mushroom to celebrate my grandson birthday. We had a party of 11 and were seated really quickly. The food was delicious. I had the meatsa pizza - 10/10. Definitely will be back.
